How to Complete the Family & Household Vision Plan
What you’ll need
-
A phone, tablet, or computer
-
Optional: a printer + pen
-
Recommended: 30–60 minutes (or split into 2 shorter sittings)
Step 1:
Choose How You Want to Complete It
Option A: Fill it out online (recommended)
-
Click Download Fillable PDF.
-
When it opens, click into the blank fields and type your answers.
-
Click Save (or Download) to save a copy to your device.
-
Print your completed copy if you’d like a paper version for your home.

Option B: Print it and write your answers
-
Click Download Fillable PDF.
-
Select Print.
-
Fill it out by hand.
-
Store it somewhere easy to revisit (binder, family command center, etc.).

Best practice: even if you print it, also save a digital copy (take photos or save the PDF), so it’s never lost.
Step 2:
Save Your Copy
(Don’t Skip This)
Your goal is to review this throughout the year, so saving matters.

-
On a computer: Save to a folder named “Family Plan” (or “Household Vision Plan”)
-
On a phone: Save to Files (iPhone) or Downloads/Drive (Android)
-
Email it to yourself: Subject line: “Our Family Vision Plan – 2026”
-
Print one copy and place it somewhere visible
Step 3:
Complete the Plan in the Easiest Order
Your PDF is built around five areas (Mission, Values, Vision, Practices, Goals). To make it simple and not overwhelming, use this order:

-
Pray first (the plan encourages starting prayerfully and focusing on direction over perfection).
-
Household Mission (1–3 sentences)
-
Household Values (pick 5, then define what each looks like)
-
Household Vision (a short “We envision a household that…” paragraph)
-
Household Practices (choose a few realistic habits in each category)
-
Household Goals (1 goal per area for the next 12 months)
-
Sign + set a Next Review Date
-
Optional: Complete the Kid-Friendly Version with children
Step 4:
Review It All Year
(Make it a living document)
Pick one:
-
Monthly check-in: first week of every month (10 minutes)
-
Quarterly check-in: every 3 months (20 minutes)
-
Mid-year refresh: adjust practices/goals as life changes
